It all started with a feeling. This time the feeling of desire. Throughout my life, I spent so much time picking myself apart. The way I looked, the way I sounded, the way I dressed. I always wanted to know what it was like to feel good in your own body. What exuding confidence was like? I just wanted to be desired.
That took me on a journey of discovering my own body. The way I look, how I feel, and building a stronger mind and body connection. I have never loved my body more than I do now.
There was always this talk about “BDE”. People who exude confidence or give off a certain energy. You would assume they have a big d*ck. People always told me about it, but I never understood it. I didn’t understand why this aura was so closely tied to being a man. I wanted to design a look that exudes that energy and showcases how it comes from a woman.
Radiating from the hips. This soft white satin was hand-dyed in my family's kitchen. Left with the natural wrinkles from the dying process. Made to look like a ray of light is bouncing off the centre and slowly fading to black on the back. I wanted it to combine everything I love about fashion. Low necklines, teasing a peek at the chest, hoods, and of course a train. To me, it is the perfect mix of goth, sexy, spiritual, and glamorous.
