In this look there was one thing I wanted to illustrate. The tight grip I feel capitalism has on us. In the last year, especially the months after my last show. I was so overwhelmed by my negative bank balance, that it felt like the stress was making it hard to breathe.

I wanted to be so proud of myself for achieving my dreams. But the reality of it all was so painful. I hit one of the lowest lows I’ve ever had in my life.

This look is inspired by that. To me capitalism is best represented by the tie. In my opinion, its just a fabric choker. Why is this a signal of power and success? I think a bare chest or a chunky necklace would say a lot more. Its a giant tie corset. It illustrates the confinement I felt and how like a snake. Slowly wraps around you until you hit a breaking point. Then on the bottom, the iconic Mini and Midi skirts I introduced last season. Back in a new way.
